2. Getting to Harokopio University
From Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport)
• By Taxi:
Taxis are available 24/7 at the airport. A taxi ride to the university typically takes about 35-40 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs approximately €40-€60. Make sure to ask for a fixed rate during the day. During nighttime (00:00–05:00), the fare increases.
• By Metro:
Take Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) from the airport towards Agia Marina and change at Syntagma Station to Metro Line 2 (Red Line) towards Elliniko. Get off at Tavros or Kallithea Station. Harokopio University is a 10-15 minute walk from either station. Total travel time: Approximately 50 minutes. Ticket cost: Around €10 for a single airport ticket.
• By Suburban Railway (Proastiakos):
Take the Suburban Railway from the airport to the Neratziotissa station. From there, transfer to the Metro Line 1 (Green Line) towards Piraeus and get off at Tavros or Kallithea Station. Total travel time: Around 1 hour. Ticket cost: €10.
• By Bus:
Take Bus X95 from the airport to Syntagma Square in central Athens, then transfer to Metro Line 2 (Red Line) towards Elliniko, and get off at Tavros or Kallithea Station. Total travel time: 1-1.5 hours. Ticket cost: €6 for the bus, €1.20 for the metro.
From Athens City Center
• By Metro:
From central Athens, take Metro Line 2 (Red Line) from Syntagma or Omonia Station towards Elliniko and alight at Tavros or Kallithea Station. Harokopio University is within a 10-15 minute walk.
• By Bus or Tram:
Several bus routes (e.g., 040, 911, 049) and trams stop near Harokopio University. Please check local schedules for the most convenient option based on your location.
• By Taxi:
A taxi ride from the city center (Syntagma Square or Monastiraki) to Harokopio University takes around 15-20 minutes and costs approximately €10-€15, depending on traffic.
